The Women’s Municipal Leadership Program is an opportunity for aspiring women to advance their skills and hone their leadership abilities on the path to becoming strong local managers.
Municipal budgeting and finance, economic development, council-manager relations. We pack a lot of learning – lectures and panels filled with content, tools, and tactics – into four dynamic days. Dive in on key topics instructed by municipal experts, build your executive leadership expertise, and gain insight on the application of your new skills from current municipal managers through this impactful program. You’ll experience it all in the company of other dedicated women, as you create a personal and professional network you can leverage throughout your municipal management career.
This complimentary program is open to Michigan women with a demonstrated interest in local government management. Interested individuals will be asked to complete a short application, and chosen applicants must commit to attend all four required sessions.
Join the 16/50 Project’s Women’s Municipal Leadership Program’s inaugural class. The application period opens June 1 on www.1650project.org. Applications must be received by July 9th to be considered. Chosen applicants will be notified by mid-July.
