Women's Municipal Leadership Program
The Women’s Municipal Leadership Program is an exclusive professional development opportunity for aspiring women to advance their skills and hone their leadership abilities on the path to becoming strong local managers. Through this dynamic program, participants dive in on key topics instructed by municipal experts, build leadership expertise with an executive coach, and gain insight on the application of their new skills from current municipal managers.
Women Leading Local Government Sessions
The 16/50 Project is proactive in outreach and recruitment to help bring a new generation of women graduates to the profession and encourage those just getting started. Women Leading Local Government are interactive panel sessions hosted at universities throughout the state aimed at introducing students to municipal management as a career. Students meet the force of women leading local communities in Michigan, are presented with real-life municipal challenges to work through, and share dialogue with the panelists on the profession.
